ENGAGE

Engage is a word that is used often with associations and it is one of the most important words we have as association executives. It is the goal we have for every member that signs up to join NALS. We want you to engage the association. This is the only way you will be able to get your money's worth, and we want you to get your money's worth! Associations do not want you to just give us money and not participate in what we have to offer. We truly want you to use every offering we have to its fullest. We want you to feel like you are getting one over on us because it is such a great value. We want you to feel like you have the greatest network of professionals on the planet for the low cost of membership. We want you to attend every CLE session we have to offer and we want you to come to every conference and meeting so you can learn and have fun. So how do we get you to be a "power user" of NALS?

That is the magic question. We can't force you to engage...we can only make it as easy and comfortable as possible for you to engage and become a part of this wonderful organization that has been engaging legal professionals for 80 years. That is right...80 years. We welcome you to the history, and to the experience that this brings to the table and we want you to add to it.

One of the ways that NALS is on the forefront in engagement is through social media. The number of people using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Ning are staggering. 300 million are using Facebook today and the number is only growing. NALS is present on Facebook to give you an easy way to become engaged while using a medium you are comfortable. We have over 800 people in our Facebook Group using this means to discuss topics of their choice, connect with other legal professionals, and keep up with everything going on at NALS. We also have a group of nearly 900 using our LinkedIn group for a more professional approach to social media. Our Twitter following is growing everyday and is currently getting close to 500. On Twitter you can not only follow NALStweet but you can use this list to follow other NALS members and this list to follow other Legal Professionals. We are trying to make this as easy as possible for you so that you can focus on engaging and getting the most for your money!

So what are you waiting for? If there is another way that you would like us to engage you as a member please let us know. We are here for you and because of you so use us...we like it.

These numbers are staggering. How can we NOT sit up and pay attention?
